Following a rebranding phase and internal operational restructuring, EKONOMISTA.pt faced the challenge of expanding its editorial reach while adapting to budget reallocations and maintaining publishing efficiency. The platform’s content ecosystem was heavily concentrated around economy-focused and savings-oriented topics, limiting audience expansion and reducing editorial diversification opportunities. At the same time, traditional publishing workflows created scalability constraints, making it difficult to significantly increase output without proportionally increasing operational costs and editorial workload.
nineyards analyzed the publication’s positioning, editorial landscape, and audience logic to identify Politics as the most strategically aligned expansion category for long-term growth and relevance. To operationalize this expansion, we developed a proprietary AI-assisted content automation system capable of generating daily political articles within a structured editorial framework. The system was designed around SEO architecture, search intent logic, and content governance principles to ensure scalability without compromising structural consistency. Rather than replacing editorial oversight, the workflow introduced human validation as a core governance layer. Copywriters transitioned from fully manual article production into validation and refinement roles, allowing the editorial team to supervise, approve, and optimize significantly higher publishing volumes with greater operational efficiency.

EKONOMISTA.pt successfully expanded its editorial structure into a new high-relevance category while increasing publishing scalability without proportionally expanding operational overhead. The AI-assisted system enabled a substantial increase in daily content production capacity, improved editorial efficiency, and introduced a more scalable governance model for future content operations. The project also produced measurable operational gains, including a documented 10x reduction in cost per published article, transforming content production economics while maintaining human-supervised editorial governance and SEO-oriented publishing standards.
